Bash EcoCleaners Service Ltd is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all employees, contractors, customers and members of the public who may be affected by our business activities. We comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all relevant regulations.
2. Responsibilities
Management: Responsible for providing a safe working environment, adequate resources and training
Supervisors: Responsible for implementing safety procedures and monitoring compliance
Employees: Responsible for following safety procedures and reporting hazards
Contractors: Must comply with our health and safety standards while on our premises
3. Risk Assessment
We conduct regular risk assessments to identify and control workplace hazards including:
- Slips, trips and falls
- Manual handling injuries
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Work at height
- Use of equipment and machinery
- Lone working
- Work-related stress
3a. Working at Height and External Cleaning Safety
For window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, steam cleaning and external estate cleaning, Bash EcoCleaners applies task-specific RAMS, access planning, PPE controls, equipment checks, public safety measures and supervisor review. Specialist access or abseil work is only delivered through approved specialist partners where required, subject to site survey and client approval.
- Site-specific risk assessments and method statements before work begins
- Working-at-height planning, exclusion zones and warning signage
- Equipment inspection and PPE checks for each task
- Public, student, visitor and staff protection controls
- Supervisor inspections, completion records and incident reporting
- Approved specialist partners for rope-access / abseil cleaning where required, subject to site survey and client approval
4. Safe Working Practices
Our employees follow these safe working practices:
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Follow correct manual handling techniques
- Use cleaning products according to manufacturer instructions
- Report all accidents and near misses
- Attend regular health and safety training
- Follow site-specific safety procedures
5. Training
All employees receive:
- Induction health and safety training
- Job-specific safety training
- COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) training
- Manual handling training
- First aid awareness
- Regular refresher training
6. Emergency Procedures
We maintain emergency procedures for:
- Fire evacuation
- Serious injury or illness
- Chemical spills
- Security incidents
- Natural disasters
7. Accident Reporting
All accidents, incidents and near misses must be reported immediately. We investigate all incidents to prevent recurrence and comply with RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations).

9. Policy Review
